So, our son is named Cavanaugh after an idyllic lake I visited every summer as a kid.  It has served him well as a unique and “cool” first name, but without being trendy or trying-too-hard different.

We haven’t found another first name Cavanaugh - YET - but am intrigued if there’s been any study of last names as first names.
