Olivia has now ranked among the top three girls’ names for a decade straight; Emma for two decades. Together, the names have provided a stead anchor at the top as trends have moved from Madison and Alexis to Isabella and Sophia to Charlotte and Evelyn. On the boys’ side, Liam and Noah continue to tower over the field with no close competition.
The only newcomer to either top 10 is Luna, edging out Harper for girls.

I’m so impressed when a name like Luna makes it to the top 10. It was completely absent from the top 1000 from 1922-2002. It’s exciting to see names become so popular when hardly anybody would even have thought of them as names at all a few decades ago.
